Deeply rooted in Native American culture, Phoenix is the perfect host for the Arizona Indian Festival, held in January at Steele Indian School Park. All twenty-two of Arizona’s native tribes will be represented, allowing visitors a glimpse into the history of traditional American Indian villages, storytellers, musical performances and dances. At the Arrowhead Country Club golfers can enjoy a beautiful course with several lakes. The 18-hole course, which was designed by renowned golfer Arnold Palmer, is rated at par 72. It is a long course, particularly at the back tees, but golfers enjoy the fact that good shots are well rewarded.
